These focus on connecting with nature, access to beautiful heritage locations across the south west, a counseling service, and a keep active group.

We offer support services that help maintain balanced wellbeing and a healthy lifestyle.

Countryside Mobility

Countryside Mobility provides safe, enjoyable and easy access to the South West’s countryside and visitor attractions for anyone who has difficulty walking. Access is provided through a hire network of all-terrain mobility scooters (Trampers).

This service helps customers increase independence, reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing and mental health. For businesses it increases customer attendance and improves customer experience for everyone.

Heritage Ability

Heritage Ability is a Heritage Lottery Funded project working to improve accessibility and inclusivity across the South West. The team work with a number of different organisations including historic houses, museums and country parks.

The team support local sites in improving access through the creation of alternative format products, such as easy read guides, audio guides and BSL tours. This service helps customers increase independence, reduce loneliness, improve wellbeing and mental health. For businesses it increases customer attendance and improves customer experience for everyone.

Deaf Get Active and Living Options Keep Active

We support anybody with a disability, or long term health condition to get active and keep active both body and mind. The ‘keep active’ team shares exercise videos to try at home and shares top tips from established specialists and individuals on healthy food, managing complicated feelings and emotions.

We also run Deaf Get Active for members of the Deaf Community, these exercise sessions are in British Sign Language and Deaf people taking part are supported by a buddy.

Why not volunteer to become a Get Active or Keep Active buddy? Support disabled people and members of the Deaf Community to get active and keep active.

Living Options Devon Counselling / Deaf Counselling (in BSL)

We offer six free sessions of talking therapy to anyone with a disability, long term health condition or member of the Deaf Community where British Sign Language is their first language.

Over the sessions our trained counsellors help people with complicated emotions and feelings and how to manage these. The counselling is accessible, provided in an accessible and safe environment.

Life Coach

Life Coaching is a talking therapy that can help with any area of your life, you might want to overcome an issue at work, in a relationship or need support in seeking employment or moving home.

A life coach supports people with a disability or long term health condition to gain confidence and overcome issues or achieve goals. We offer group and 1:1 Life Coaching support provided by a qualified and experienced Life Coach.

Sight and Hearing Advisors

Providing information, advice, demonstrations of equipment and a ‘try before you buy’ loan scheme for people with hearing and/or sight loss. Located in North Devon , our team are available for community visits and provide help and advice online, over the telephone and face to face.

The team help people with sensory loss have an increased sense of confidence, learn the tactics and strategies for communicating better with others and be aware of the equipment and organisations that can provide help/support.
